I had started these out as plain socks, but once I had started the blue Jaywalkers, it seemed only natural to see how this yarn would look in the pattern, too. It's a rather addictive little pattern. Cara, Kathy, here you go!

I had another blog. It promised to talk about the trials and tribulations of trying to juggle the raising of several small children with a career in academia, as well as discussing the consumption of inordinate amounts of caffeinated beverages. And it was going to talk about the stuff I was knitting. But given that I wasn't really comfortable talking much in detail about the job thing, or creating the online equivalent of a brag book, let's just stick with the knitting and other stuff, shall we?
